Margaret Atwood (1939 - ) Prolific Canadian poet, novelist, essayist, and activist best known these days for The Handmaid's Tale (four seasons on TV and counting). It's the standout among her 18 novels, 18 books of poetry, 11 books of non-fiction, nine collections of short fiction, eight children's books, and two graphic novels.
